the rest of my free time before starting my new job has been spent with my dear maman who came to visit me in dc before heading to colombia to visit a friend and to perfect her spanish.
saturday maman came to our soccer game to see if all the soccer camps she paid for were paying off... she also brought her furry friends max and addy who'll be staying with us while their parents are on vacation.

that night we had dinner at sohail's parents' house where we saw the beautiful decorations they have ready for october

today we went for a day-long hike in maryland with the dogs. this was our view during lunch.

the hike ended at some waterfalls so we cooled off our feet
it's hard to see the falls in the background but they were there...
on our way back to the car, we saw this tree. and i thought virginia was for lovers!
tonight maman took us to an amazing mylasian dinner right down the street from our house. i think we'll sleep well tonight.
