Sophie's visit etc...

At the end of my week in Charleston, my cousin Sophie, who's studying abroad in the US, came to visit us in Charleston. I think I learned as much about America and Americans through her stories of her host family as she did! Now I'm back in DC and ready to start my new job... Happy mothers' day!

A stressed Max and a happy Addy - This was a typical scene at our house this week.

What did she teach you about America? I'm interested. Where did she do her study abroad?
That breakfast looks yummy.

She's in a high school exchange program in St. Louis, MO. It's a catholic girls' high school so very different than my public HS experience in SC. Plus her family is all American, very Catholic, and Republican so she's learning about a segment of American society I have little first hand knowledge about. For example, they sometimes have dinner at 4pm!
